Soldner clay mixers are among the fastest, safest and most convenient ways of mixing clay and are available in two models: the Studio Model and the Professional Model. Unlike other mixers, Soldner mixers carry all the weight of the clay on the bottom of a slowly revolving, concrete tub. The rotating tub smashes the clay through stationary cutting bars with a slicing, chopping and wedging action making premixing ingredients unnecessary. There are no dangerous augers to get caught in, no sharp blades to cut and no high speed parts to avoid. Soldner clay mixers are still being manufactured with the same quality of construction that has developed their solid reputation for performance over the past 36 years.

Soldner Clay Mixer Features

• Less Friction: because the clay is sliced with only one small plow bar, there is very little surface contact to exert pressure against the bar.
• Less Resistance: All the weight of the clay is carried on the bottom of a rotating tub. It is never lifted against the force of gravity as with blades or paddle mixers.
• Less Sticking: Clay sticks to the walls of metal mixers like it sticks to an aluminum throwing head; but the Soldner mixer tub s made of concrete, which when wet, releases clay.
• Less Energy Loss: Most mixers chop or squeeze clay with multiple blades. Soldner mixers cut and rotate it in a single motion; spatulating and blending the clay continuously.
• Less Pampering: There is no problem if the clay dries out in the mixer. Use the drum for clay storage. Slake your trimmings, make it your slop barrel or store mixed clay in it.
• Less Exotic Maintenance: Most repairs can be made in the field with normal repair equipment. Replacement parts are standard and available off the shelf. Many mixers are still in use after more than 20 years.
